We had a great day yesterday at the End of Summer/President's tournament and BBQ. The weather smiled on us, the tennis was good, the company was better and the BBQ was cooked to perfection!
We were too busy playing tennis to get action shots of the play!
The winners of the tournament were Ian Farrar and Noe Debuisson (who also brought a most delicious salad!), and obviously the game of tennis itself.
A big thank you to everyone who helped run the day - James and Bryony for sorting out the tournament, Sally for being timekeeper, Nick for doing the BBQ, everyone who brought a salad, the bowlers who ran the kitchen, bar and raffle.
Looking forward to next year already!
Due to the weather forecast today, we are postponing the President's Day tournament and BBQ. It will be rearranged for later in the season.
Junior coaching will not be running on Saturday 12th July.
It will then be on as normal on Saturday 19th July.

Our senior club coach Nick Walton is offering July group coaching sessions for any adult members.
Starting Wednesday 2nd July 6.30-7.30pm (subject to minumum numbers), Nick will run a course for intermediate players for five weeks.
And from Thursday 3rd July 6-7pm, the course will be for beginner adult players, also for five weeks.
Both courses cost £50 per person, and there are six spots available on each course.

This year we are trying something new with our club tournaments - the doubles' tournaments are being played on a single night from start to final. And so far this has been a big success!
Our men's doubles winners this year are Nick Riddle and Craig Coveney.
Our ladies' doubles winners are Bryony Farrar and Katherine Sanders.
Our mixed doubles winners are yet to be revealed - the tournament will be played on Thursday 31st July, starting 6pm.
